We sincerely congratulate our researchers on their remarkable professional accomplishments and the results of their dedicated work, which represent a vital contribution to the advancement of science and the field of civil protection.

Bohdan Kovalyshyn has been awarded a PhD degree (Doctor of Philosophy) in Speciality 261 "Fire Safety" (academic supervisor — Doctor of Technical Sciences, Senior Researcher Yaroslav Ballo). His dissertation research was dedicated to fire-stop cornices and their effectiveness in preventing external fire spread to upper building storeys. The researcher investigated the impact of cornice design parameters on fire propagation, performed mathematical modelling alongside experimental testing, and developed guidelines for selecting cornices for various building zones. The findings served as both the theoretical and practical foundation for updating fire safety building regulations.

Ihor Stulyk has also been awarded a PhD degree in Speciality 261 "Fire Safety". His research focused on enhancing the effectiveness of water-based extinguishing agents using gelling polymer compounds. The scientist examined the application of polyacrylates to formulate modified extinguishing agents capable of adhering better to combustible surfaces, reducing water runoff, and providing a prolonged cooling and insulating effect. Based on his findings, he developed a formulation for a modified extinguishing agent tailored for Class A and B fires and for creating firebreaks in natural ecosystems. Experimental testing confirmed its superior fire-extinguishing efficiency compared to traditional aqueous foam solutions. This research aims to create efficient, cost-effective, and environmentally safe firefighting agents that reduce water consumption and improve extinguishment performance.

Through his academic and teaching achievements, Dmytro Usachov has been awarded the academic title of Associate Professor. The corresponding certificate was issued by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine following a decision by the Academic Council of the National University of Civil Defence of Ukraine. This is an important professional milestone and recognition of his contribution to education and science.

We extend our heartfelt congratulations to our colleagues and wish them continued scientific success, fruitful research, and major new breakthroughs!
